Greetings from my new office on Union Square West!

This blog is intended to inspire a community discussion about mental health. As a clinical psychologist practitioner and dedicated consumer of research, I have been moved by my deeply talented colleagues’ illuminating studies of the human condition. I have simultaneously been disheartened by the paucity of discourse between academia and the public. This is to say that us academics are having some weighty conversations about mental health. Yet only a fraction of researchers’ findings are being communicated directly to the community at large. This blog is an attempt to bridge that gap, simplify research findings, and promote mental health awareness.
